Just who are these Hurricane People? Did they beam down from Mars? What do they really know about kayaking?

Just over six years ago a small group of kayak industry veterans casually kicked around the idea of forming our own company so we could bring to life new ideas without the constraints of the large corporate world mentality that has begun to permeate the paddlesport industry.

In our little group we have over 100 years combined experience at all levels of kayaking. Some of us are guides, some are designers, some are instructors and some are production wizards.

Some of us drive 40,000 miles a year just to turn you on to our kayaks at demos. But for all of us, our lives have become forever intertwined with paddling.
